Kawaguchi Ruins

There are 230 remnants of ancient pit dwellings which dot the scenic forest near the mouth of the Teshio River. A large number of earthenware and stone wares have been excavated from the ruins, while the pit houses that have been restored help illustrate the lifestyle of a distant past.
